But how do you install it to start enjoying all these services?
Good news- you don’t t have to spend some bucks to hire someone to do it for you. You can do it yourself!
In the following post, I’ll show you exactly how to install your Vos3000 server on your own
PS: In this guide, we’ll install the Vos300 on Centos Linux.
Let’s do this:
Note that you can successfully install this software on both the 32-bit and the 64-bit CentOS Linux.
Before we begin our installation process, we’ll need to check a few things as outlined below:
1. Check your Linux version as well as Kernel version
TO DO THIS, INPUT:
#cat /etc/redhat-release
#uname –m
This allows you to check the version of your Linux and OS and confirm if it’s compatible with the software.
If it’s not compatible, you’ll need to install the compatible version of the OS (usually, you’ll need version 5.5 and above). Otherwise, the installation will not go through.
You can update your Centos by keying in the following:
#yum update
I’d also recommend you to install the Webmin for remote management of your CentOS:
# cd /var
# wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/webadmin/webmin-1.530-1.noarch.rpm
# rpm -ivh webmin-1.530-1.noarch.rpm
After successful installation, go to your browser and trying logging into Webmin via:
Login with the root . and update the Webmin and the Operating systems
2. You’ll also need to disable the SELINUX mode
First, check if it’s disabled by entering:
#selinux status
If it’s not disabled, you can easily disable it by entering the following:
#nano /etc/sysconfig/selinux
SELINUX=disabled
3. Check if the Mysql is installed in your system
To do this, enter the following:
# rpm -qa | grep MySQL
Or
# rpm -qa | grep mysql
If it’s already installed, you’ll have to uninstall it and remove all its related files to pave way for installation of Vos3000.
Uninstalling Mysql is as simple as keying in the following:
#mv /var/lib/mysql /var/lib/mysql_backup
#rm -rf /etc/my.cnf
4. You’ll also need to check if the perl-DBI is present in your system and successfully remove it.
This is how you check its presence:
# rpm -qa | grep perl-DBI
Is it installed? If no, move to the number 5. If yes, you must remove it.
5. Flush the IPtables (and disable it)
This is a simple process that involves entering the following commands:
#service iptables save |service iptables stop |chkconfig iptables off
#service ip6tables save |service ip6tables stop |chkconfig ip6tables off
6. The last thing you’d want to do before starting the Vos3000 installation revolves around creating a directory and copying all your installation files there.
To do that, enter the following:
#mkdir /source
So far so good!
In the above 6 steps, you’ve checked and adjusted all the thing that might hinder the installation process.
Now that your system is ready for installing your Vos3000 server, let’s get into the guide:
Step 1:
Begin by installing the required java:
#rpm -ivh jdk-6u19-linux-i586.rpm
Step 2:
Next, you’ll need to copy the Apache Tomcat /usr and then untar the file.

# cp apache-tomcat-5.5.15.tar.gz /usr/

/usr/kunshi/license/
While still on it, make the file executable by entering this:
# chmod 755 /usr/kunshi/license/license.dat
Step 14:

# /etc/init.d/vos3000dall restart
# /etc/init.d/mbx3000d restart
# /etc/init.d/ivrd restart
Step 15:
